The Patan Award

 
 
 


The Patan Award is an annual prize awarded for notable cultural accomplishments. The prize can be awarded to individuals, ensembles, organisations and/or companies.

THE AWARD'S FOUNDER
The Patan Award was founded by Simmerud on the 25th October 2003. Only Simmerud may decide that the prize shall be awarded.

TROPHY AND RECOGNITION
The winner of The Patan Award is entitled to a graphic or three dimensional trophy. The trophy's design will be decided upon by Simmerud, and can change from year to year if he so decides. The winner will also receive recognition in financial or esthetic terms. The form of recognition from year to year is also at Simmerud's discretion. Recognition may even take the form of a symbolic gesture, such as a pat on the back.

WINNER
The winner of The Patan Award is decided upon by Simmerud. The winner shall be decided upon at the latest on the 22nd October the year after the year the prize applies to.

ANNOUNCEMENT/AWARD PRESENTATION
The winner of The Patan Award will be informed of the distinction. The award will thereafter be presented in the winner's presence. The presentation will be held annually on the 22nd October.

PLEASE NOTE
Simmerud's decision regarding The Patan Award is final and may not be disputed.
